  • Citizen Airmen help keep C-17s safe during Dorian

    A handful of Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina, Reservists spent their Labor Day with their active duty teammates to evacuate 24 C-17 Globemaster IIIs ahead of Hurricane Dorian. Fifteen Reservists from the 315th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron and 315th Maintenance Squadron here joined members of the 437th Maintenance Group to clear and launch the C-17s, Sept. 2, to Ellsworth Air Force Base, South Dakota. Charleston’s remaining C-17s were already away from the base on various missions and were not involved.
  • Training for any mission, any environment

    More than 40 Citizen Airmen from the 154th Wing, 313th Airlift Squadron and 624th Regional Support Group conducted joint aeromedical staging and aerial port training here March 3 in order to build relationships and train for future real-world missions. The event was a collaborative effort between the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve focused on both enroute patient care and staging, and cargo preparation and loading.
  • Charleston Reservists deliver humanitarian aid, met by Colombian President, VP

    A group of Reservists from the 315th Airlift Wing from Joint Base Charleston delivered humanitarian aid Friday, Feb. 22, 2019, which will benefit the people of Venezuela. The C-17 Globmaster III touched down in Cucuta, just a mile and a half from the Venezuelan border and was met by Colombian President Ivan Duquemarquez and Vice President Marta Lucia-Ramirez.
