    All in a weekend: JBC's 315th Reserve Citizen Airmen deliver humanitarian aid to Dominican Republic

    The dual-purpose mission gave the Reserve aircrew an opportunity to train with the added benefit of delivering humanitarian aid to organizations in the Caribbean via the Denton Cargo Program.

    Reserve Citizen Airmen hunt

    This specialized unit of Reserve Citizen Airmen is made up of a five-person crew consisting of a pilot, co-pilot, navigator, aerial reconnaissance weather officer, and loadmaster who is also the dropsonde operator.

    Seeking mental health treatment: Chief shares his experience with PTSD

    Many service members struggle with the thought of seeking mental health treatment, thinking of it as a career ender, or possibly that others may think they are weak for seeking help. Corvin said he wrestled with the thought of whether or not to get help, and eventually decided he needed to make a change – not only for himself, but for his family.

    Okies support Northern Edge

    Reserve Citizen Airmen from the 507th Air Refueling Wing joined approximately 10,000 U.S. military personnel participating in exercise Northern Edge 2019, a joint training exercise hosted by U.S. Pacific Air Forces on and above the central Alaska ranges and the Gulf of Alaska May 13-24, 2019.

    Reserve Citizen Airman takes out-of-this-world oath

    The Air Force Reserve’s newest flight surgeon was sworn into service by an astronaut flying at 17,500 miles per hour aboard the International Space Station 210 miles above the Earth on May 4.

    Single-Parent Reservist Rises Above Challenges to Earn Wings

    Imagine being a single-parent of two, completing a bachelor's degree and independently financing pilot training in order to accomplish the dream of becoming a reserve pilot with the 315th Airlift Wing, all within 5 short years. Being a single parent is no easy feat, but Staff Sgt. Shakeyna Smith, aviation resource management technician with the 701st Airlift Squadron here, accepted the challenges that greeted her. From parenting her two small children as a teenage mother to pursuing higher education in psychology and aviation, Smith has embodied excellence in all she does.
