    The Future Work Environment: AFRC mapping out a tomorrow highlighted by more alternative workspace arrangements

    Before the COVID-19 pandemic hit in early 2020, Air Force Reserve Command was dipping its toes into the pool of telework work and other alternative workspace arrangements. The pandemic pushed the command into the deep end, forcing AFRC to immediately shift to a work-from-home business model.

    Building upon personal strengths help Airmen, families overcome stress

    Fortunately, the Air Force Reserve Yellow Ribbon Program exists to help alleviate this stress. The program consists of a series of events designed to provide members and families with essential resources prior to deployment, stability and support while deployed, and successful re-integration techniques after the deployment cycle ends.

    Fuels management flight keeps 445th C-17s flying

    Fuel keeps the world moving and on the go. With the global mission of the 445th Airlift Wing, it is essential that the wing has the resources needed to keep flying around the world. One critical component that keeps operations running smoothly in the wing is the 445th Logistics Readiness Squadron’s Fuels Management Flight. The flight performed their November 2020 unit training assembly during the week, Nov. 5 and 6, 2020.

    Eighteen Reserve Citizen Airmen and seven of their spouses with the 514th Air Mobility Wing, Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, N.J., and the 459th Air Refueling Wing, Joint Base Andrews, Maryland, participated in the first fully virtual Air Force Reserve Command Yellow Ribbon Program event, Oct. 24-25, 2020. This event was held in order to conform to COVID-19 restrictions while also maintaining AFRC's commitment to reform the organization in key areas to compete, deter, and win in all environments while maintaining its cost-effectiveness.
