• HQ ARPC hosts Space Transfer Board

    Headquarters Air Reserve Personnel Center, recently hosted a Space Force Transfer Board as Space Professionals shaped the future of the Space Force. Five ARPC members facilitated the board consisting of 15 Space Professionals as they evaluated more than 2,300 personnel records of enlisted Airmen from the intelligence and cyber operations career fields.

  • President signs Executive Order calling up Air Force Reserve medics, other specialties

    On March 27, the President signed an Executive Order authorizing mobilization of the Reserve Component in response to COVID-19 operations.  For the Air Force Reserve, personnel already serving in the Selected Reserve and Participating Individual Ready Reserve, as well as those assigned to the Individual Ready Reserve, may be asked to volunteer to activate in support of COVID-19 response.  If taskings exceed the volunteer pool, mobilization of the IRR to active status is now authorized to ensure mission accomplishment.

    The Joint IRR Conference included representatives from the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines and Navy, educating one another on their service-specific IRR programs. While each service program has the same Office of the Secretary of Defense policies driving them, the consensus was that the conference was of great value for each service to attend by being able to discuss ongoing problems experienced by each branch.
