  • Scheduling training is about to get easier for C-17 crews

    Scheduling training for C-17 Globemaster III pilots and crew is about to get easier with the launch of Puckboard, a data-powered software application to plan aircrew qualification flights automatically. The tool, developed by and for Airmen, allows schedulers to rapidly match aircraft commanders, pilots, and loadmasters with available flights to complete currency requirements such as aerial refueling and tactical training events required throughout the year.

  • Reserve Citizen Airmen treat Honduran patients during medical readiness training exercise

    Twenty-one Air Force Reserve medics with the 403rd Wing took part of a Medical Readiness Training Exercise Dec. 4-18. Known as the 403rd MEDRETE 2019 Honduras, Airmen from the 403rd Aeromedical Staging Squadron and 36th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron here as well as reservists from around the country, worked with a team of doctors from the Joint Task Force-Bravo Surgeon’s Cell out of Soto Cano Air Base, to provide free medical care to the citizens of Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

  • Vandenberg aids during Patriot Hook 2019

    Exercise Patriot Hook 2019, an annual joint-service exercise coordinated by the Air Force Reserve Command, took place at Vandenberg Air Force Base, California, on April 10-15, 2019. The five day long exercise demonstrated the capacities of civil relief operations, which would typically occur following a natural disaster, providing realistic mission training for Reserve Citizen Airmen and thier joint partners.
  • Training for any mission, any environment

    More than 40 Citizen Airmen from the 154th Wing, 313th Airlift Squadron and 624th Regional Support Group conducted joint aeromedical staging and aerial port training here March 3 in order to build relationships and train for future real-world missions. The event was a collaborative effort between the Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve focused on both enroute patient care and staging, and cargo preparation and loading.

  • A U.S. Air Force First: Two Sister Units From Two Different Countries Supply Afghan Advisors

    In the mountainous terrain of Afghanistan two U.S. C-130J Hercules aircraft airdropped over 30 Container Delivery System (CDS) bundles to a Resolute Support Expeditionary Advisory Package (EAP), May 4. Unlike previous combat airdrop missions, this dual-formation airdrop was executed by two geographically separated units, the 774th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron (EAS) an active-duty squadron, located at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan, and the 746th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron, a reserve squadron located at Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
  • Air Guard, Reserve wings kick off annual MAFFS training
