SERE refresher training
Citizen Airmen with the 39th and 301st Rescue Squadrons file into the woods for more hands-on survival, evasion, resistance and escape training before splitting into teams and putting their skills to the test Nov. 6, 2017 at the Malabar Annex, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. SERE instructors with the 308th Rescue Squadron along with Citizen Airmen from the 920th Operations Support Squadron aircrew flight equipment section conducted a two-day training session for 18 aircrew members covering everything from basic survival skills like building a fire and shelter to evading the enemy. Aircrew members are required to undergo a SERE refresher course every three years. (U.S. Air Force photo by Tech. Sgt. Lindsey Maurice)
