SERE refresher training
Staff Sgt. Cody Thacker, 308th Rescue Squadron survival, evasion, resistance and escape instructor, hides in a shelter he made using palm fronds and other natural materials he found in the woods of Malabar Annex, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida, Nov. 6, 2017 during a SERE refresher course. Eighteen aircrew members with the 39th and 301st Rescue Squadron attended a two-day SERE training session Nov. 5-6, 2017 that included one day of classroom instruction, followed by a day of field exercises.
