SERE refresher training
Master Sgt. Justin Neal, 39th Rescue Squadron radio operator, keeps track of survival, evasion, resistance and escape refresher course teams in the field Nov. 6, 2017 during an exercise at Malabar Annex, Patrick Air Force Base, Florida. The teams, comprised of 4-5 Citizen Airmen, were dropped off in remote areas of the annex and had to navigate their way back to base camp, while evading the “enemy.” Eighteen aircrew members with the 39th and 301st Rescue Squadrons attended the two-day SERE training session Nov. 5-6, 2017 that included one day of classroom instruction, followed by a day of field exercises.
