Eagle Creek Fire

Hikers were numbered off to ensure accountability so everyone could make it safely off of the Eagle Creek Trail away from the fire in the Columbia River Gorge near Portland, Ore., on Sept. 2, 2017. Tech. Sgt. Robert Dones, 349th Medical Squadron surgical technician, helped guide the group out of the fire. Dones' hand is numbered 144.
