An F-15E Strike Eagle goes through flight simulation testing at Robins Air Force Base, Ga., using a synthetic fuel mixture. This was the first test using synthetic fuel in a fighter. The Air Force previously tested synthetic fuel blends in a C-17 Globemaster III, B-52 Stratofortress and B-1B Lancer aircraft. (U.S. Air Force photo/Claude Lazzara)
