Thunderbirds visit children's hospital

Jordan Headley, age 5, is all smiles after receiving a 2008 Thunderbirds Program from Maj. Tyrone Douglas, U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds No. 6 F-16 pilot, at the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Pediatric Hospital. "We enjoy the opportunity to have a one-on-one visit with children," said Maj. Charla Quayle, USAF Thunderbirds flight surgeon. "It inspires and empowers them to follow their dreams." The Thunderbirds also visited two metro Atlanta area high schools as part of their community relations visits in connection with their appearance at the Wings over Marietta Air Show and Open House at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Oct. 18-19.
