World Series performance
Capt. Edward Torres, an Air Force reservist from Duke Field, Fla., is slated to sing “God Bless America” during the 7th inning stretch of Game 2 of the 2008 World Series in Tampa, Fla., Oct. 23. Fox TV will air the game, starting at 8 p.m. Eastern Time. The 919th Logistics Readiness Squadron officer is no stranger to performing at Major League Baseball games. In this photo he sings the National Anthem before a special New York Yankees versus Seattle Mariners game that recognized the heritage of the Tuskegee Airmen May 25 at the Yankee Stadium in New York.
