AFRC commander visits unit
Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner Jr., (right) jokes with Lt. Col. David Condit, 731st Airlift Squadron navigator, after a modular airborne firefighting system orientation flight Nov. 12, 2008, at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. General Stenner, commander of Air Force Reserve Command, visited the base to gain a better understanding of the command's 302nd Airlift Wing and its sister unit, the 310th Space Wing, based at Schriever AFB, Colo. Colonel Condit is the program manager for the 302nd AW's MAFFS program. C-130 aircraft equipped with MAFFSs are used to fight wild land fires when called upon by state officials in the United States after all other firefighting methods have been exhausted.
