On the way to the Caribbean
Tech. Sgt. Vic Cowan hands over his dog tags for review Dec. 12 while processing through a deployment line at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. Sergeant Cowan and more than 35 other members of the Air Force Reserve's 302nd Airlift Wing departed Colorado for Puerto Rico's Muniz Air National Guard Base, where they will support U.S. Southern Command with logistics and contingency efforts through Operation Coronet Oak. The operation encompasses several missions, including resupply of U.S. embassies, medical evacuation missions and support for U.S. troops in the region.
