Charleston reservists return from Afghanistan
Staff Sgt. Joseph Speer, a reservist assigned to the 81st Aerial Port Squadron at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C., shares a tender moment with his wife, Elizabeth and meets his son, Joseph Jr., for the first time on Jan. 17, 2009. Sergeant Speer's son was born while he was deployed to Afghanistan for four months. The sergeant and 17 other Airmen from the 81st and 38th Aerial Port Squadrons returned home the same day.
