Teaching new tricks in old plane
Crew chiefs with the 433rd Maintenance Squadron had to learn a few new tricks when their C-5 A waa returned to Lackland with the new Avionics Modernization Program upgrades. The Alamo Wing was the first C-5 unit to receive the upgrade for the A model. The AMP replaces analog avionics instruments with digital electronic equipment. New equipment requires new skills.
