History comes full circle for black aviators
Master Sgt. Terry Grant (left) and Senior Master Sgt. Furman Beckwith thank Donald Jackson, an original Tuskegee Airman, for flying with them on the C-17 Globemaster III named "The Spirit of the Tuskegee Airmen" on Aug. 5. The original Tuskegee Airmen were given the orientation flight by an all-black aircrew as part of the 2006 Tuskegee Airman Convention in Phoenix. Sergeants Beckwith and Grant are reservists assigned to the 300th Airlift Squadron at Charleston Air Force Base, S.C. (U.S. Air Force photo/Capt. Wayne Capps)
