AFRC stands up new directorate

Maj. Gen. Allan ‘Rusty’ Poulin, Air Force Reserve Command vice commander (left), prepares to cut a banner signifying the creation of the AFRC/A9 Directorate. Holding the banner are from left, Lt. Col. John Metz, AFRC/A5EA8E, and Col. Eric Sitrin, the new AFRC/A9 director, while Brig. Gen. Neil Rohan, AFRC/A5A8, looks on. The banner cutting represents the stand up of a new A-9 directorate, separating it from A5/8/9. As the director of A9, Colonel Sitrin will be dual-hatted. The new directorate will oversee Analyses, Assessments, and Lessons Learned, as well as AFSO21; the Air Force process that focuses on improvement initiatives and lean enterprise events to improve combat and combat support.
