Elmendorf reservists meet Tuskegee Airmen at convention
Retired Lt. Col. James Warren, one of the original Tuskegee Airmen, swaps flying stories with Maj. Kevin Sutterfield of the 302nd Fighter Squadron during the Tuskegee Airmen's 38th Annual National Convention Aug. 6, 2009. Colonel Warren is the honorary commander of the Air Force Reserve Command's 477th Fighter Group, Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska, and a former member of the 477th Bombardment Group. The 477th BG activated during World War II as part of the historic Tuskegee Airmen. The group was reactivated in 2007 when the 477th Fighter Group became the Air Force Reserve Command's first F-22 Raptor unit. (U.S. Air Force photo/Maj. Cary McPartlin)
