No rest for the C-5A
A C-5A Galaxy cargo aircraft assigned to Air Force Reserve Command's 433rd Airlift Wing "yawns" before sunrise May 22, 2009, on the flightline at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. The fiscal 2010 National Defense Authorization Act directs the Air Force to halt plans to retire its C-5A's, to run more tests on the aircraft and to present a report to Congress giving reasons for keeping the older C-5s or mothballing them in favor of a newer transport aircraft.
