Frigo's Big Challenge
Air Force Reserve Senior Master Sgt. James Frigo, Sr., (right) and his son, James “Bubba” Frigo, Jr., pedal side by side March 5, 2010, near their home in Menifee, Calif., during a training ride for their upcoming 4,000-mile trip across the United States to raise awareness about retinitis pigmentosa, a degenerative condition Bubba was diagnosed with that leads to eventual blindness. Before a bicycle company loaned the Frigos road bikes for the trip, the two trained on hybrid mountain bikes. (Photo courtesy Senior Master Sgt. James Frigo, Sr.)
