Colorado AF Reservists deploy amidst new Middle East mission, loved one's tears

Col. Jay Pittman (far right) and senior 302nd Airlift Wing leadership salute Sept. 8 as the last of four C-130 Hercules taxis for takeoff at Peterson Air Force Base, Colo. The aircraft, one of three that departed Peterson AFB today, contained Air Force Reservists who are deploying in support of U.S. Central Command operations in the Middle East. More than 150 aircrew, maintenance and support AF Reservists from the 302nd AW will take part in this airlift support deployment package.
