Major General James “JJ” Jackson talks to about 10 congressional staffers at the Senate on Sept. 28 about a new Defense Department Joint initiative to protect civilian and military satellite communications. Led by Air Force Reservists, the 3 year test involves U.S. military forces and Air Force Space Command assets around the globe. General Jackson is the deputy to the chief of Air Force Reserve at Headquarters U.S. Air Force in the Pentagon. He assists the chief of Air Force Reserve who serves as the principal adviser on Reserve matters to the Air Force Chief of Staff.
