The congressmen spoke with Colonel Linsenmeyer and his small team of Youngstown Air Reserve Station Citizen Airmen about the unit’s operations in the Gulf of Mexico during the aftermath of the explosion and sinking of the Deepwater Horizon oil-drilling platform. The group also talked about the overall capabilities of the DoD’s only large-area fixed-wing aerial spray unit.
