GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Chief Master Sgt. Jeff Maier hugs Senior Master Sgt. Paul "Doogie" Houser here shortly after Sergeant Houser completed his 10,000th flight hour April 5. Friends, family and coworkers gathered together to congratulate Sergeant Houser, who began his Air Force career in 1976 as a communications and navigation maintenance specialist. Sergeant Houser cross trained to be an in-flight refueling technician, better known as a boom operator, in 1980 and joined the Air Force Reserve in 1985. He is now the in-flight refueling manager with the 434th Operations Support Squadron. Chief Maier is the 74th Air Refueling Squadron's in-flight refueling superintendent. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech.
