AFE SNCO of the Year

Senior Master Sgt. Rob Safley, left, studies the tech. order for a drogue parachute system, designed to stabilize an ejection seat once it's rocketed out of an aircraft. Staff Sgt. Kim McBride, aircrew flight equipment technician, and Tech. Sgt. Timothy Stein, NCOIC of the Oxygen Section, were using the tech. orders to inspect and pack the chute. Safley supervises 12 Air Force reservists in the 301st Operations Support Flight's AFE section and was named the 2010 Outstanding Air Reserve Component Aircrew Flight Equipment Senior Noncommissioned Officer of the Year for the Air Force.
