Reserve band supports historic shuttle landing
Airman 1st Class Jill Diem, a vocalist in the High Flight, dances with NASA employees at the Kennedy Space Center, Cocoa Beach, Fla., July 21. The event celebrated the final landing of Shuttle Atlantis and NASA's 30-year space shuttle program. High Flight, the newest ensemble in the Band of the U.S. Air Force Reserve, is a 10-piece funk and rhythm and Blues music group. This ensemble provides a fresh perspective on today's popular music and preserves the classic sounds of bands like Chicago, Tower of Power, and Earth, Wind, and Fire.
