Reserve band supports historic shuttle landing
Staff Sgt. Dave Kness, Staff Sgt. Marco Munoz, and Airman 1st Class Mary Gant, members of the Band of the U.S. Air Force Reserve's High Flight, performed before 3,300 spectators after the final landing of Shuttle Atlantis July 21 at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The event celebrated the 135th shuttle mission and 30 years of NASA's space shuttle program. High Flight, the newest ensemble in the Reserve band, is a 10-piece funk and Rhythm and Blues music group. This ensemble provides a fresh perspective on today's popular music and preserves the classic sounds of bands like Chicago, Tower of Power, and Earth, Wind, and Fire.
