Filing 'Super' flight plan
GRISSOM AIR RESERVE BASE, Ind. -- Tim Boles, operating as an approach assistant in Grissom's radar approach control facility here, looks up an aircrafts flight plan in a flight data system Jan. 20. Boles and other 434th Operations Support Squadron air traffic controllers have been preparing for an influx of Super Bowl air traffic for over four months. On a typical day, a Grissom controller could deal with up to 500 aircraft. During the Super Bowl, that number is expected to increase by several hundred. (U.S. Air Force photo/Tech. Sgt. Mark R. W.
