Patriot run

Mr. John Pyle, marathon runner, poses with Col. Jeff Macrander, 920th Rescue Wing commander, Patrick Air Force Base, Fla., Feb. 5. The colonel was the hand-cycle officiant for the Melbourne & Beaches Music Marathon, while Mr. Pyle waved the flag during the entire marathon race. The flag was flowing over Afghanistan Dec. 25, 2011 during a military mission. Shortly after this race, Mr. Pyle plans on running it from San Francisco to Key West, Fla., to raise awareness, and 1 million dollars, for the Wounded Warrior Project.
