Coach Calhoun and Murraine
PETERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Colo. - Troy Calhoun, U.S. Air Force Academy football head coach tours the flight deck of a C-130H with Master Sgt. Frank Murraine, 52nd Airlift Squadron flight engineer, during his visit May 9, 2014 here. Calhoun was invited by the 302nd Airlift Wing’s active duty associate unit, the 52nd AS, to speak to Airmen about leadership. The coach said his idea of leadership is someone who has integrity, passion, a plan and perseverance. He went on to comment on the Airmen he met that afternoon. “I can tell you all twelve games we are going to play [next season.] I can tell you the date, the time we are going to kick off. Many of the missions you have to carry out, you don’t know what that’s going to be. And that’s what makes you special. It’s remarkable the professionalism that you exhibit. I want to thank each and everyone of you for your dedication and the commitment you made to serve,” said Calhoun. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt. Daniel Butterfield)
