MCCONNELL AIR FORCE BASE, Kan. -- Air Force Reservists from the 931st Air Refueling Group here returned July 21 from a 60-day deployment to Al Udeid Air Base, Qatar.
During the deployment, aircrew and support personnel from the 931 ARG flew air refueling missions, performed aircraft maintenance and filled other support roles while assigned to the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing.
Family members as well as several 931 ARG leaders gathered to meet the deployed members on the flightline upon their return home.
"These Citizen Airmen and their families have made great sacrifices in order to accomplish the mission and serve our country," said Col. Mark S. Larson, 931st Air Refueling Group commander. "They stepped up to do the job, and they did it flawlessly. Now we are able to welcome them safely back home and congratulate them on a job well done. I could not be prouder of these Airmen and it's an honor to serve with each of them."
