Service members, civilians and their families celebrated the Air Reserve Personnel Center's Commander's Fitness Enhancement Program quarterly event here Oct. 3.

Col. Sean McElhaney Pahia, Air Reserve Personnel Center vice commander, and Chief Master Sgt. Ruthe Flores, ARPC command chief, presented the "The Ten-acious Herd" team a medal and the ARPC Thundering Herd award. The herd award is a rotating trophy awarded to the team captain denoting the team's name as winner of the quarter.

The CC Fitness Funfest was sponsored by the Top 3, and organized by Staff Sergeants Clay Goudeau and Andrew Johnson. The event provided some prizes and lanyards for the winners, and highlighted the commander's physical fitness enhancement program's winning team for the July through September quarter. Those in attendance enjoyed a potluck style lunch.

The objective of the commander's physical fitness enhancement program is to encourage ARPC staff to develop a plan where people can have fun while working with colleagues to improve their fitness assessment scores or overall health. Teams were comprised of 10 members, regardless of directorate to encourage cross-directorate team-building, as well as a competitive spirit.

Activities at the funfest included volleyball, soccer, bag toss and horseshoes.
