A member of the 482nd Fighter Wing here was selected as the Recruiter Service Personnel Support Person of the Year at the Recruit National Awards Banquet.

Master Sgt. Jennifer Trimble, chief of career development for 482nd Force Support Squadron here, was recognized for the outstanding contributions she provided to the reserve recruiting mission throughout the nation.

"It's nice to be nominated and acknowledged for my work by my peers," said Trimble.

Trimble processes inbound and outbound packages for Airmen coming to and departing from the base. She processes job changes, records of active duty tours, and checks the qualifications for Air Reserve Technicians.

"I was shocked to receive this award," said Trimble. "People are always watching, but if you do what you know you're supposed to do then it will pay off in the end."

Although Trimble doesn't work in the recruiting office she helps them meet their manning goals by informing them of open positions which keeps our Air Force mission ready.

"We work hand and hand with recruiting to bring in the best and brightest, and put them where they can be used most effectively," said Trimble.

Trimble's hard work assisting recruiting efforts nationwide made her stand out among her peers because of her competence and dedication.

"Trimble has outstanding customer service skills and she is a true professional," according to Senior Master Sgt. Michael R. Johnson, Flight Chief for Homestead Recruiting Flight here.

Due to the service Trimble provides, the Recruiting Flight was able to win 15 awards at the Recruit National Awards Banquet, including the Recruiting Excellence Award for Superior Performance for achieving over 120 percent of the assigned goal, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Quarter Eastern Recruiting Squadron Top Small Flight, and a myriad of individual awards, according to Johnson.
