AFRC names public affairs achievement award winners Published Oct. 24, 2005 By AFRC News Service ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Military people and civilian employees from six bases won 2004 Air Force Reserve Command Public Affairs Achievement awards.Maj. Gen. David E. Tanzi, AFRC vice commander, announced the award winners in a message Feb. 25. Six days later the general presented the awards to the recipients or their representatives at the AFRC PA Deployment for Training awards banquet in Savannah, Ga.The 434th Air Refueling Wing, Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind., won four AFRC PA Director’s Excellence awards. The awards are for the best small wing PA office, community relations program, media relations program and internal information program.The 440th Airlift Wing, Gen. Mitchell International Airport Air Reserve Station in Milwaukee received the AFRC PA Director’s Special Achievement award for a planned single event, program or product.Recipients of AFRC Individual Awards for Public Affairs Excellence are:Field grade officer (wing or below) -- Lt. Col. Michael P. Odom, 403rd Wing, Keesler AFB, Miss. Company grade officer (wing or below) -- 2nd Lt. Marnee A. Losurdo (formerly Carlson), 919th Special Operations Wing, Eglin AFB Field 3, Fla.NCO (wing or below) -- Tech. Sgt. Collen A. Roundtree, 446th AW, McChord AFB, Wash. (Sergeant Roundtree is now an air reserve technician in the 433rd AW, Lackland AFB, Texas.)Airman (wing or below) -- Senior Airman Deanne M. Perez, 440th AW, Gen. Mitchell IAP ARSIntermediate grade civilian (wing or below) -- James B. Pritchett, 403rd Wing, Keesler AFBSenior NCO (numbered air force or above) -- Master Sgt. Howard L. Smith. Headquarters AFRC, Robins AFBNCO (NAF or below) -- Staff Sgt. Jennifer M. Gregoire, Headquarters AFRC, Robins AFBBand senior NCO -- Master Sgt. Barbara H. Mitchell IAP ARS, received an AFRC PA Support Award for contribution to public affairs programs.The award recipients are representing the command in the Air Force PA Achievement Award competition. Results are expected to be announced in April.
