Top aerial port, people named

The 73rd Aerial Port Squadron at Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Carswell Field, Texas, hauled in two Air Force Reserve Command awards for 2005.

In addition to having the best aerial port unit, Maj. Diana E. Echols was named the top field grade officer.

Capt. Jeffry G. Haynes III of the 96th APS, Little Rock AFB, Ark., was selected the command’s top company grade officer.

The 55th APS at Travis AFB, Calif., had two award winners. Senior Master Sgt. Buford D. Hadley received the senior NCO award, and Nicholas C. Suarez was named the top civilian supervisor.

Other awards announced March 3 are:

NCO – Staff Sgt. Damion A. Kosmosky, 27th APS, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station, Minn.;

Airman – Senior Airman Nia A. Naumu, 48th APS, Hickam AFB, Hawaii; and

Civilian technician – Robert F. Flynn Jr., 42nd APS, Westover Air Reserve Base, Mass. (AFRC News Service)
