Homestead fuel managers win command award Published April 7, 2006 ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- The 482nd Fuels Management Flight at Homestead Air Reserve Base, Fla., is representing Air Force Reserve Command in the Air Force’s American Petroleum Institute-sponsored award program. Headquarters AFRC announced April 6 that the Homestead flight had won the 2005 AFRC Golden Derrick Award. The award is a gold oil rig on a black cup with a mahogany base. Base fuels management organizations that support flying missions are eligible to compete for the award. (AFRC News Service)
