CIO Magazine named the team one of its 100 Award honorees June 15. "Every year the CIO 100 Awards honors 100 companies that demonstrate excellence and achievement in enterprise IT service. For the 2006 CIO 100 Awards, there were more than 400 applications from companies spanning five continents," Colonel Mancuso said. According to a CIO news release, the 100 winners were selected based on four criteria - innovation, business value, leadership and collaboration with end-users or external partners. In addition, the award winners earned points for telling the best stories about generating business value through creative and cutting-edge uses of technology. The companies selected for this year's CIO 100 Award range from private organizations with a few million dollars in revenue to multi-billion dollar global powerhouses. They span every industry. The CIO 100 honorees will receive their awards at the CIO 100 Symposium and Award Ceremony Aug. 20-22 at Coronado, Calif. (AFRC News Service)
