7 one-stars, 9 colonels picked for promotion

The chief of Air Force Reserve announced Jan. 10 that the president has approved the nomination of seven brigadier generals and nine colonels for promotion.

Fifteen of the nominees are mobilization assistants, and one is a member of Air Force Reserve Command's unit program.

Nominated for promotion to major general are:

Brig. Gens. Frank J. Casserino, MA to the under secretary of the Air Force, Headquarters Air Force, Pentagon

Stephen P. Gross, MA to the commander of the Aeronautical Systems Center, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio

Clay T. McCutchan, MA to the commander of 18th Air Force, Scott AFB, Ill.

Frank J. Padilla, MA to the commander of Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla.

Loren S. Perlstein, MA to the deputy judge advocate general, Headquarters Air Force, Pentagon

Jack W. Ramsaur II, MA to the commander of U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Neb.

Bradley C. Young, MA to the director of maintenance and logistics, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Langley AFB, Va.
