7 units share public affairs achievement awards

The 315th Airlift Wing Public Affairs Office from Charleston AFB, S.C., won four of the 13 Air Force Reserve Command PA Achievement Awards for 2006.

Six other AFRC units took the remaining awards, according to a command announcement April 30.

The following units received PA director's awards:

Small wing - 315th AW, Charleston AFB

Community relations - 512th AW, Dover AFB, Del.

Media relations - 315th AW, Charleston AFB

Special achievement - crisis situation - 446th AW, McChord AFB, Wash.

Special achievement - planned single event or program - 916th Air Refueling Wing, Seymour Johnson AFB, N.C.

The following people received individual, wing-level PA awards:

Field grade officer - Maj. David Kurle, 442nd Fighter Wing, Whiteman AFB, Mo.

Company grade officer - Capt. Wayne Capps, 315th AW, Charleston AFB

Intermediate grade civilian - Kari Tilton, 419th FW, Hill AFB, Utah

Entry grade civilian - Susan Stout, 944th FW, Luke AFB, Ariz.

Senior NCO - Master Sgt. William Huntington, 442nd FW, Whiteman AFB

NCO - Tech. Sgt. Veronica Aceveda, 512th AW, Dover AFB

Maj. William Walsh of the 315th AW, Charleston AFB, was named the best Reserve officer, and Senior Airman Christina Wright of the 419th FW, Hill AFB, was selected the top Reserve airman. (Air Force Reserve Command News Service)
