  • Published
Two number air force commanders in Air Force Reserve Command received Meritorious Executive awards in October.

Maj. Gen. Robert E. Duignan, 4th Air Force commander, March Air Reserve Base, Calif., and Maj. Gen. Martin M. Mazick, 22nd Air Force commander, Dobbins ARB, Ga., were among 353 leaders from 30 federal agencies recognized by the president.

Each year, an elite group of career members of the Senior Executive Service, Senior-Level and Scientific and Professional corps are selected by the president for their exceptional leadership, accomplishments and service over an extended period of time.

In addition to being major generals in the Air Force Reserve, Generals Duignan and Mazick are full-time SES civilian employees. They received a signed certificate from the president and a distinctive lapel pin, as well as a cash award of 20 percent of their basic pay. (Air Force Reserve Command News Service)
