Duke Field reclaims best dining facility title Published March 17, 2009 ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- The 919th Services Flight, Duke Field, Fla., has once again won Air Force Reserve Command's best dining facility title. Duke Field's dining hall staff is the recipient of the 2009 John L. Hennessy Award for the command. The staff had claimed this award in 2005, 2003, 2002 and 2000. This year's award breaks the three-year winning streak by the 911th SVF's Long Dining Facility staff at Pittsburgh International Airport Air Reserve Station, Pa. Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner, commander of AFRC and chief of the Air Force Reserve, announced this year's winner March 10. In addition to good finger-licking food, the command evaluates the food service on five major categories - kitchen operations; serving and dining operations; training, personnel and readiness; sanitation and repair maintenance; and management. Each year the Air Force Reserve, the Regular Air Force and the Air National Guard select the best dining facilities in their respective categories. Reservists from Duke Field dining facility staff, along the winning representatives from the active force and the Guard, will receive their awards during an awards banquet at the National Restaurant Association convention in Chicago in May.
