Weather officer competes for leadership award Published May 1, 2009 ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- An officer from the 12th Operational Weather Flight at Scott AFB, Ill., is Air Force Reserve Command's nominee for the 2009 Airlift Tanker Association Young Leadership Award. Capt. Christopher T. Higgins "is a prime example of our future leaders as he provides positive contributions to the mission of the Air Force Reserve Command," wrote Lt. Gen. Charles E. Stenner Jr., AFRC commander. The general announced Captain Higgins' selection in a memorandum April 22. Each year the association presents Young Leadership Awards to 12 young people in the air mobility community who have displayed performance excellence, outstanding professional skill, knowledge and leadership.
