Air Force Reserve units see changes in command this spring

ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. --  Several Air Force Reserve Command senior officers are moving to new assignments this spring.

The changes include the following:

Maj. Gen. Howard N. Thompson from deputy to the chief of Air Force Reserve, Headquarters Air Force, Pentagon, to chief of staff of U.S. Northern Command, Peterson AFB, Colo.

Maj. Gen. James F. Jackson from mobilization assistant to the commander of 8 th Air Force, Barksdale AFB, La., and commander of Joint Functional Component Command for Global Strike, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Neb., to deputy to the chief of Air Force Reserve, Headquarters Air Force, Pentagon

Maj. Gen. Wallace W. Farris Jr. from deputy director for Politico-Military Affairs for Africa, Joint Staff, Pentagon, to director of air, space and information operations, Headquarters AFRC, Robins AFB

Brig. Gen. Dean J. Despinoy from commander of the 434th Air Refueling Wing, Grissom Air Reserve Base, Ind., to retirement in June.

Brig. Gen. John C. Fobian from commander of the 433rd Airlift Wing, Joint Base San Antonio, Texas, to deputy director for joint matters, Headquarters Air Education and Training Command, Joint Base San Antonio, in April.

Col. William T. Cahoon from commander of the 459th ARW, Joint Base Andrews, Md., to commander of the 434th ARW, Grissom ARB, in June

Col. Robert L. Dunn from commander of the 943rd Rescue Group, Davis-Monthan AFB, Ariz., to commander of the 920th Rescue Wing, Patrick AFB, Fla., in April.

Col. Steven W. Kirkpatrick from commander of the 920th RQW, Patrick AFB, to reserve advisor to the commander of U.S. Special Operations Command, MacDill AFB, Fla., in May.

Col. Kenneth D. Lewis from commander of the 927th ARW, MacDill AFB, to commander of the 433rd AW, Joint Base San Antonio, in April.

Col. Harold L. Maxwell from Headquarters Air Force Special Operations Command, Hurlburt Field, Fla., to commander of the 943rd RQG, Davis-Monthan AFB, in April.

Col. Karl McGregor from commander of the 910th AW, Youngstown ARS to commander of the 452nd AMW, March ARB, in March.
