910th AW aerial spray aircraft called in to fight Gulf oil spill
Aircraft and crews from the Air Force Reserve Command’s 910th Airlift Wing, Youngstown Air Reserve Station, Ohio, were notified April 29, 2010, that they will support the oil spill recovery effort in the Gulf of Mexico. The 910th AW specializes in aerial spray and is the Department of Defense’s only large area fixed wing aerial spray unit.
