Thirteen Airmen from the 94th Security Forces Squadron returned home from Iraq on May 31, just in time for Memorial Day.

"I'm thankful that my team, and I got home safely on such a symbolic day," said Master Sgt. Engle R. Coulter, 94th SFS.

The Airmen were greeted and saluted by Col. Timothy E. Tarchick, 94th Airlift Wing commander; wing command Chief Master Sgt. John Anderson; Lt. Col. Timothy H. Martz, 94th SFS commander; and Chief Master Sgt. Wendell Peacock.

"Memorial Day isn't about beaches, barbeques and sales, it's about service, duty and honor," said Colonel Tarchick as he thanked family members for their sacrifice.

"It's a joint effort," he said. "Our Airmen could not have done their job without the support from their families at home."

While deployed, the Airmen provided base security and training to relief troops at Kirkuk Regional Air Base.

"It's a good feeling to be home," said Staff Sgt. Brandon Johnson, who was greeted by his son, Brandon Jr.
