15 senior officers nominated for star promotions

WASHINGTON --  Five Air Force Reserve brigadier generals and 10 colonels have been nominated by the president for promotion.

The Department of Defense announced the nominees in a news release Dec. 16.

Nominated for promotion to major general are the following mobilization assistants:

Brig. Gen. Thomas P. Harwood III, MA to the commander of 13th Air Force, Pacific Air Forces, Hickam Air Force Base, Hawaii.

Brig. Gen. Robert K. Millmann Jr., MA to the commander of 18th Air Force, Air Mobility Command, Scott AFB, Ill.

Brig. Gen. William F. Schauffert, MA to the commander of 3rd Air Force, U S. Air Forces in Europe, Ramstein Air Base, Germany.

Brig. Gen. Michael N. Wilson, MA to the deputy chief of staff for operations, plans and requirements, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Pentagon, Washington, D.C.

Brig. Gen. John T. Winters Jr., MA to the commander of 7th Air Force, PACAF, Osan Air Base, Republic of Korea.

Nominated for promotion to brigadier general are:

Col. Norman R. Ham Jr., MA to the commander of 2nd Air Force, Air Education and Training Command, Keesler AFB, Miss.

Col. John J. Mooney III, commander of the 917th Wing, Air Force Reserve Command, Barksdale AFB, La.

Col. David B. O'Brien, MA to the director of the Defense Contract Management Agency, Alexandria, Va.
