What, you ask?

The short videos that will soon air on the 916th Air Refueling Wing's Facebook and Twitter pages.

Do you follow sports? Film? Music? Politics? You never know who you'll see next.

As part of the wing's 25th anniversary celebration, the public affairs office is launching a social media event that has some impressive star power.

Dubbed "25 Shout-Outs for 25 Years," the campaign honors the men and women of the 916th with video messages of support and congratulations from prominent members of the global community.

"This is an exciting time for the wing," said Col. Randy Ogden, wing commander. "The 916th has an impressive mission and storied history. Not only is it important to celebrate in person with our fellow Airmen, but this event is a perfect opportunity to share the excitement with friends and family worldwide."

Beginning Oct. 1, the wing's actual date of reactivation in 1986, the 916th's Facebook page will showcase a new video shout-out each day with two shout-outs closing the campaign on both Oct. 22 and 23. There's something for everyone throughout the month.

The 916th Public Affairs Office encourages reservists to not only view the shout-outs themselves, but help spread the word. In anticipation of the massive campaign they've even posted teaser messages on other Air Force and Air Force Reserve Facebook pages in order to drive more traffic to their site to help them in their celebration.

While 25 shout-outs will appear on the wing's Facebook Fan page, the campaign received so much interest that other videos will appear on the wing's Website.

"We've got an amazing mission here that we've been able to share with a lot of people," said Maj. Shannon Mann, chief of public affairs. "This is just a small way for the community to share back with us."
