Command announces outstanding SERE specialists of 2011 Published March 30, 2012 ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- Air Force Reserve Command has named Master Sgt. Dennis J. Jones as the Outstanding Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape specialist of 2011. The award recognizes the reservist who makes the most significant contributions to the command's SERE program. Jones, from the 440th Airlift Wing, Pope Field, N.C., is credited with leading a three-person SERE shop in training more than 2,000 high-risk Department of Defense members in SERE and code of conduct continuation training. He also authored an "Urban Evasion Tactics and PR 101 briefing for NATO allies in Operation Unified Protector.
