Citizen Airmen, employers to get awards Published June 4, 2012 ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE, Ga. -- The Air Force will honor two reservists and their civilian employers in September at the Air Force Association Air & Space Conference and Technology Exposition in Washington, D.C.. Air Force Reserve Command picked Lt. Col. Robert J. Sweet, 476th Fighter Group, Moody AFB, Ga., and Southwest Airlines of Dallas, Texas, for the 2012 Citizen Airman and Employer of the Year awards in the officer category. Selected in the enlisted category were Senior Master Sgt. Kenellias C. Smith of the 301st Maintenance Squadron, Naval Air Station Joint Reserve Base Fort Worth, Texas, and the Boeing Co. of Dallas. These AFA awards are part of the Air Force's annual recognition programs. Citizen Airmen nominate their employers for the awards. The awards recognize reservists for deploying and honor their employers for supporting them.
